Fresh and exciting plot; just one thing...

This story is quite different than most of the genre, and fairly well developed for a new author. Good effort! A more fastidious editor is needed to clear up some narrative and word choice issues... However, that is something that can be easily fixed. Finding authors with fresh perspective, compelling contextual detailing, and the budding potential to develop characters you want to follow is special.

So...Webb, please continue to develop your talent and your products. I can't wait to see what comes next. Series, perhaps?

About the Author

Clear & Precise !

This book is a breath of fresh air. It’s very reader-friendly, clear to understand and what I love most it cuts to the chase without the wordiness. Each page provides graphics stills as examples to help the reader comprehend the given topic. One useful feature about this book is located at the end of each chapter in where you’ll be able to find a chapter summery along questions you should ask yourself, and group questions in order to “test yourself” in what you have learned. As a fashion merchandiser, and a future Buyer this will be one of my "Go-to" books at all times. I would highly recommend this book to anyone entering the fashion world or who ever is currently in it because, the book covers a variety of subjects that are useful for everyone in this industry and, is relevant to today's society.

This book is very knowledgeable and the information given is easy to digest especially for readers that are unaware of how the fashion industry operates. After reading you will feel totally enlightened. It is by far the best fashion buying book I have ever read thus far. I will also use this book as a guideline for my career!

Good Reference

I bought this book rather at the last minute as an additional study aid for my Nursing Informatics Certification Exam since the Scope and Standards of practice is a good part of the exam. The thing about this book is that only the first half is new material. The second half is basically the same stuff from the 2008 version. Therefore, all the new stuff is in the first 90 or so pages. I didn't even look at the 2008 stuff for no other reason than I didn't have time. It's a good reference, but I bet I would passed my test all the same even if I hadn't purchased it.

I thought I was purchasing Volume 2 but when I got the book I found it was volume 1 which I already had. In the picture it says Volume 1 (which I didn't pay much attention to) and the description says Volume 2. Be sure and pay attention! However, shipment was fast, but now I have 2 volume 1's....

This cd has many books on it however they are not all helpful if you are trying to make shoes by hand. That is why I made this purchase and there are a few books that are helpful. Ivor Myers is truly one whom God uses to make His Word plain and easy to understand! He has put a lot of research and thought into this book. He presents both sides of the Christian right and the liberal left, and does it in a sincere and compassionate way. In his introduction, Ivor promises this: "...should you decide to read this book: I will not write condescendingly or sarcastically. I will not present arguments from 'my personal experiences', which makes such an argument subjective at best. I will not use circular reasoning, which means that I will not substantiate the claims inside the Bible with evidence strictly from inside the Bible." This is a must read book, you will learn a lot from it and you won’t regret purchasing it, it is well worth the price!

A must read for anyone seeking to make business decisions, career decisions and life decisions. History is such a great teacher.

To anyone that recognizes a storm brewing in politics, religion, society environment, climate change, healthcare and the list could go on, then I think it is key to recognize from history what the future holds. How fascinating to consider the idea that perhaps Christianity is responsible for the rapid rise in atheism and that history is repeating. This book has really helped me see clearly the need to not be so easily swayed by apparent realities in the world today. I am passionate about trends and believe this book is a must read for anyone seeking to make better business decisions, career decisions and life decisions.

An easy read but a challenging book.

Unusually sophisticated approach. The skeptic turned Christian author stays in his lane, resisting the urge that many writers of the cloth fall prey to; using science to defend religion. After setting an extremely fair and data driven tone in the first half of the book, the author appeals to logic and history to assert that maybe, just maybe, the Bible has earned an open minded evaluation from the eye of every skeptic.

An easy read but a challenging book. I highly recommend this respectful, thoughtful, fair and unique approach to this thousand year old question; "Does God exist?"

About the Author
Polly Nichols and Martha Shaw, mother and daughter, shared a deep concern for young people and more than 30 years experience as special educators when they chose to combine their talents as writer and illustrator. Dr. Nichols, a graduate of the University of Iowa Writers Workshop for fiction as well as of its College of Education, used these skills to create the imaginative, therapeutic story-telling format of Whispering Shadows. Martha Shaw created the drawings that illustrate the concepts and make them appealing and accessible to young people. She has also served as an award-winning special education teacher in classrooms for students with autism, behavior problems,learning and developmental delays. Her experiences with more able autistic students and as a consultant to adolescent group homes contributed to the succesful translation of Rational Emotive Therapy and Cognitive Therapy concepts into new words and images that are meaningul to young thinkers.

The text is very pragmatic and systematic. It promotes assessment and realistic treatment options rather than focussing on elaborate instrumentation. The authors are also prepared to recognise and outline that in many instances ‘expert’ views differ at many stages in the treatment of the pulp. Nonetheless they offer sensible ‘best practice’ routes through these often conflicting approaches.

I found the book very easy to read and it is well thought out in terms of flow and the order of each chapter. The authors have an excellent grasp of the literature and the book is sufficiently evidence based.

The list of topics covered in this excellent book is comprehensive. I cannot think of any significant omissions. The balance of the book seems to be entirely appropriate. I found the style excellent and there were copious, clear illustrations and the general appearance and quality is very good.

This book is relevant for undergraduate and postgraduate curricula in UK dental schools. The subject of endodontics (or endodontology) has significantly expanded in recent years and so the scope of endodontics that a dental student should grasp has expanded. This book serves, therefore, as an excellent text to compliment curricula. It would also be of use to general dental practitioners and specialists.

About the Author
Kishor Gulabivala is Head of Endodontology and Department of Restorative Dentistry at the Eastman Dental Institute, University College London. He is also an Honorary Consultant in Restorative Dentistry at the Eastman Dental Hospital, University College London and Hospital Trusts.

Kishor graduated from Birmingham Dental School in 1980. After 3 years in general practice, he completed the MSc in Conservative Dentistry in 1984 and consolidated training in Conservative Dentistry as a registrar from 1984 to 1986. He was appointed Lecturer in Conservative Dentistry in 1987, when he also enrolled onto higher training in Restorative Dentistry at the Eastman Dental Hospital (1987-1994) at the end of which he was appointed Consultant in Restorative Dentistry. He established and ran the MSc in Endodontics (1989), the MClinDent and specialist training programmes in Endodontics (1999) and the Diploma in Endodontic Practice (2011). He also established and ran the clinical endodontic service at the Eastman Dental Hospital from 1994 to 2004.

Kishor was entered on the UK Specialist Lists in Restorative Dentistry, Prosthodontics and Endodontics when they were established in 1999/2000 and completed his PhD on microbial infections of teeth in 2004. He was Training Programme Director for Restorative Dentistry at the London Deanery between 2006 and 2011; and is now the Training Programme Director for Endodontics in London (2012-2015). Kishor’s research interest is centred in Endodontology and has published widely both on basic and clinical research questions with over 100 peer-reviewed papers and over 100 research abstracts. He also serves as Associate Editor of the International Endodontic Journal.

Dr. Ng graduated from the University of Hong Kong in 1985 and spent 9 years practicing general dentistry in the Government Dental Service in Hong Kong. She was granted the Hong Kong Government Scholarship to undertake the Master of Science programme in Endodontics at the Eastman Dental Institute in 1994-5 which she passed with distinction. Upon completion of the programme and return to Hong Kong, she was promoted to Senior Dental Officer. During the two years of this office, she developed a referral endodontic service for the Government Dental Services. She was also appointed Honorary Clinical Lecturer at the University of Hong Kong and contributed to their postgraduate programmes. In 1997, she returned to the Eastman Dental Institute as a full-time Clinical Lecturer in Endodontology. She was promoted to Senior Clinical Lecturer in Endodontology in 2010. Dr. Ng served as a Senior Programme Coordinator for 10 years and became the Programme Director for the MSc in Endodontics and MClinDent in Endodontology programmes in 2007. She is currently also the Educational Supervisor for the Specialist trainees in Endodontology. Dr Ng has lectured widely to local and international professional groups.

Dr. Ng is a UK General Dental Council registered specialist in Endodontics and a certified member of the European Society of Endodontology. Dr. Ng’s other professional commitments include her membership of the scientific committee of the British Endodontic Society and the European Society of Endodontology; and Associate editorship of the International Endodontic Journal. Dr Ng’s research interests are focused on the effectiveness and long-term outcomes of endodontic treatment. For her completed PhD program she researched the clinical outcome of endodontic treatment. She has published widely in international peer-reviewed journals with over 40 peer-reviewed articles and 80 research abstracts.

PreSchool-Grade 1-The bunnies that introduced wee ones to the alphabet, counting, and time are back in this merry little travelogue. The family sets off for a vacation filled with just about every mode of transportation imaginable, including a car, train, ferry, tractor, and, finally, an airplane ride home. The rhyming text allows children the chance to shout out the missing last word before the turn of the page: "Bunnies pedal over the hills,/Chasing, racing, taking spills,/Jumping ditches, getting stuck./Now, bunnies, hop into the-." Each colorful spread is dominated by a particular conveyance and hides a visual hint on how the creatures will get to their next destination. For the story's sake, these animals have handlike paws. The closing spread fails to show how the bunnies get from the airport to their home, an omission that stops the fun of the visual game. Still, the book is amusing, and children will enjoy guessing the next words and looking for the clues.

PreS-Gr. 2. And go, they do! A family of five bunnies takes twelve different modes of transportation on a cross-country vacation. On each spread a visual clue foretells the next kind of travel, and the last word of the rhyming text is left off, to be revealed on following page. The anticipation and the guessing game work together to forestall questions about the time frame: How long are the bunnies gone? The question is subtly dealt with when the family returns home to find green vines climbing the walls of their home: the potted plant depicted on the opening pages has apparently been growing for some time. As in the three previous Bunnies books by this team, the detailed illustrations are lively and colorful. Preschoolers may need some help understanding the ending, but most kids will quickly catch on to the gimmick and scrutinize the picture scenes for hints about the mode of transportation the bunnies will choose--from train to tractor, from boat to balloon. An entertaining story and a fun approach to language development. Julie Cummins

Love this book!

I have a ton of books for my young kids, but this is really one of my favorites. The pictures are just delightful -- fun for the kids to look at and for me (I find something new in there every time I read it). And the words are cute and talk about different forms of transportation.

This particular copy that I ordered was in great condition and I happily gave it as a gift.

Love this Bunny series.

My 2-year old loves these books. There is enough detail in the illustrations that it keeps her attention for a long time.
Because this one rhymes, she also was able to remember the story more and recite some of the phrases from memory.

Bunnies are a big hit with our shorties

This book has been a perennial favorite of my nephews and niece for many years. This is not the most literary, hip book that I've given them, but the one that they ask me to read the most. I think the simple story works well with the toddler set, and the bunnies are cuties.
